About Me

​Hi my name is Lacora. I am the owner and stylist of Protective Styles by Cora. I am a self taught professional full time braider. My passion for braiding begin when I was in middle school. I started practicing on friends and mannequin heads. I didn't start my career as a braider until later into my adulthood. Before I started my career as a braider. I worked as a licensed phlebotomist for a few years. I like the profession but I felt it wasn't for me. I then went on to drive trucks and drove for a few years. Later I realized my heart wasn't in that profession either. I came back to what I have a passion for and love doing at such a young age, which is braiding. I have over 10 years experience. I love doing hair and love making my clients feel beautiful.

I am known for my knotless box braids. I offer the following services: box braids, stitch braids, crochet braids, braid downs, soft locs, butterfly loc, passion twist, men cornrows, two strand twist and kid protective styles age 8 & up. Thank you! Instagram
